"The
role of Veterinarians in Disaster Management" and was provided
by FEMA, SEMA, MDA, APHIS and the Volunteer Veterinary Corp of MIssouri.
At the conclusion of the lecture series all three staff members passed
two exams given by the State of Missouri certifying them to be proficient
in the materials presented.
In
addition, all three staff members are now volunteer members of the
Veterinary Corp of Missouri. This training allows the staff of Community
Animal Hospital to be a part of response teams in the event of a local,
state, regional or national disaster. Our immediate plans include
planning a "Home Preparedness in the event of a Disaster"
presentation for our clients and their pets. More information will
be available as the plan develops.
We
are proud to announce that Dr. Eichler and her staff have completed
over twenty-five hours of continuing education so far this year, and
continue to stay educated and informed about the latest advancements
and information in the field of veterinary medicine and surgery.
